Rosenstein: "Yes, my mother always sends a present with a card and always follows it up with an email to make sure I got it."
Examining Attorney: "Mr. Rosenstein, I assume you responded to her email with confirmation you received the gift, and thank her, right?
Rosenstein: "Of course, yes, and I also call her to thank her."
Examining Attorney: " So would you agree with me that in order to respond to an email, you first must not only receive the email, but you must read it. Otherwise, it would not make any sense regarding how you could possibly respond to it coherently?"

Examining Attorney: "Would you agree then, if you responded to an email you received, that you would have had to have read it?"
