Riot-Embracing Democrat Party Just Had Its Worst Week in 50 Years
Breitbart ^ | June 4, 2020 | John Nolte

We like to believe we’re living in unprecedented times, but we aren’t. The left is just rioting, looting, and burning like it’s 1968; and the Democrat Party is appeasing the rioters and going soft on crime like it’s 1968.

Trust me, there is nothing new under the sun, much less a gang of spoiled crybabies abusing a cause to justify their marauding, much less a Democrat Party believing they can harness that power to electoral victory, much less a corrupt media aiding and abetting it all.

No serious student of history will tell you we’re not watching a rerun.

And no serious student of history will tell you that, if past is prologue (and it always is), this will end well for Democrats.

That’s not to say President Trump will benefit. He’s president now, and voters might very well blame him for the unrest, might believe (mistakenly — as I’ll explain below) Joe Biden can usher in calmer times. As the polls show, Trump’s refusal to project calm and steadiness is not helping his case. When Trump most needs to act presidential, he either can’t or won’t, but that’s all beside the point. This is a long game we’re talking about here. Here are a couple of examples…

The Defund the Police idea is a real winning plan for Democrats right now - they should go with it

We won’t know until November. I’m betting suburban votes flock to republicans IF republicans step up and stop sitting on the sidelines.

worst year? More like their best year.

Riots, people kneeling, Trump behind in all polls.

That is the worst week?

Judging by the kneeling, it appears they have won.

The social contract is broken. I have spent the last few nights standing watch in my little town for looters.

In Iowa.

As the polls show, Trump’s refusal to project calm and steadiness is not helping his case.

This is nonsense. First, the polls are fake.
Second, Trump is not "refusing to project calm and steadiness." The idea is absurd.

Maybe some pickups in suburbs, but a big payoff will be legacy white Democraps in exurbs and rural. MN-02 and MN-07 from here look like definite pickups with rats either not voting or switching.

It all started when Obama and Democrats embraced Occupy Wall Street — which has now morphed into the left-wing terrorists in Antifa and Black Lives Matter. On top of that, in order to create racial strife (that had nearly disappeared) and the false impression America is racist, Obama and Democrats embraced the Trayvon Martin, Hands Up, Don’t Shoot, and Baltimore hoaxes.

Sums it up.

Thanks for your kind question. Please direct your attention to RCP polls. The polls themselves may be flawed, but it cannot the denied that he is behind. Cheers.

IF the population was still 88/12 I’d feel better about this.

Polls are amazing things—just ask President Hillary:

“Joe Biden”

If Joe Biden wins, he will not last 6 months in office. He will be forced to resign (or worse) and be replaced by whatever radical leftist is his running mate. If you vote for Biden you are voting for his running mate to be president.

It’s way too early, and the stakes are way too high, to predict what will happen in November.

We shouldn’t mince words anymore, Liberals have become terrorist sympathizers, and almost every decision they make these days insane. Defund the police? It’s unbelieveable.

We need to call out our friends, families, neighbors, coworkers and find out where they really stand. The time for avoiding politics for the sake of politeness is over, even at the risk of losing relationships. It’s time to tell everyone exactly what you think. What’s going on is that important.

The Democrats have much more control over the vote count in EVERY state than they did in 1968. They own the big cities and thus the vote count in those cities. The cities report last on election night and sufficient votes to prevail are to be added in when the rest of each state has reported. It has been done for decades in several states and 2016 was wib vy DJT due to incompetence on the part of the Democrat machine in Broward County, Florida. DeSantis has a handle on it now in Florida. How many other states will by November? None of the ones with Democrat governors will, like Pennsylvania.

He's successfully maneuvering them into being supporters of the insanity. I think the worst thing Pres Trump could do is start backing away from his strong stance against the rioters. If anything he should double down on it, talk about how the Democrats deliberately let their own cities be destroyed etc.

Make the Dems own this. There are a lot of people who are horrified and I'm pretty sure they outnumber the pro-BLM/Antifa loons. Eventually he should pick up votes from this. And, if I'm wrong and he doesn't benefit, then it seems the country's doomed anyway.

Dems will be destroyed in November and it’s not too early to make that call. Only question is how bad.

The difference is that the rioting and anti-establishment anarchy done in 1968 had a critical mass of society still on the side of morality against it, and they saw the anarchists as wholly ANTI-American and harmful to American society and its future. That’s why the more conservative Nixons was elected as a rational response to it.

This has totally turned around today. The zeitgeist is completely different.
