Looks like a screen shot of this video: YPG-International: Call for global days of action on 27&28 January 2019 #RiseUp4Rojava. This is from January 2019, not 2017, when the fighting in Syria was effectively over. The perfect time for phonies to go in and pretend to be soldiers for home movies.

I would not be surprised if this was all faked and not filmed in Kurdish territory at all, or if Kurdish YPG had nothing to do with this.

Please look at these tweets from 2017. Not faked. I am not sure why some Americans think the Kurds are the good guys. Look at what they did to the Christians in Qamishli.

No actual video of training, just some guy lecturing us on what he believed is happening

It’s all fun and games until somebody starts shooting back at them.

Yep. On a side note, I'm beginning to think that 1,000rds per weapon in my home isn't near enough...

When the shooting starts, it matters less which side has the best marksmen or spent more time at the range. All that matters is which side is willing to point their rifle at one of their fellow countrymen and pull the trigger. In this, I give Antifa a clear advantage. They're already conditioning themselves to use violence.

Top. Kek.

I agree, that Antifa would start the violence.

(They've already started it, short of firearms in most cases.)

...but once it does openly go to firearms, they will lose, no matter how many corrupt Mayors and Governors are protecting them. In fact, they will face the same problem that the US forces under 0moeba the Wunder Muslim, faced in the Middle East. They'd be safe in their own controlled areas, and sitting ducks the moment they ventured outside of them.

One of my big concerns about Antifa is a suicide mission, where they go all out and are willing to die. Think of the Las Vegas shootings, but being done by 100 it 1,000 individuals and in disparate areas of the country.

If that happens, Trump will declare Martial Law, suspend the Constitution, and arrest and imprison/execute pretty much any and every elected Dem in the US.

Nice try.

you people don't live in the real world

I didn't know that asking questions from concern about the president's safety during million man march where similar protests have acted as a shield for rioters who have killed people means that, "I don't live in the real world."

Nice and clear rebuke there. Do you live in the real world?

I watched the video. Honestly, it looked like every personal defense class I ever saw at our gym. Mostly these were for women who worked in our urban area.

I am still waiting for the DOJ to show evidence it says it has. I am waiting for Federal arrests. I am waiting for a single arrest for giving aid to a terrorist organization.

I know, you all will tell mr Fitton is suing them. But he is not the government. If ANTIFA is this huge threat we would know a lot about them. You cannot tell me the FBI is just ramping up it’s surveillance.

There is a lot about this that just doesn’t ring true.

Most modern city dwellers would have no idea of even how to find a supply of potable water. Most people never think about it because it comes out of the tap. Just like electricity comes out of the socket in the wall. They think that’s the source. Cut off water to a big city for a week and 99% of the population would be dead.

*** I thought we liked the Kurds? ***

Because our Gov’t PR campaign for Rojava worked? Because it is in the US economic interest to cut up Iraq and Syria?
There is a saying, re: the Kurds, “No friends but the mountains”.

As I type, the Kurds in Syria are blocking grain shipments to Syrians who are loyal to the legitimate gov’t. This, after thousands of hectares of wheat have systematically been destroyed through machinations by the US.

They are the paid lackeys of the US stealing Syria’s oil, looting, and driving Yazidis, and Christians from their homes. They are, despite protestations, to the contrary, the YPG/PKK Communists.

So, no, I am not part of the “we” who likes the Kurds, despite the Kurd flag wavers on FR. In fact I view them with about as much favor as I do the Aztlan or Black Separatist movements in the US.

Sockmonkey likes the Russians. Or maybe he just likes Putin. Hard to tell which, with him. The gist is that, in sockmonkey’s view, any party that opposes Russia’s territorial ambitions and support for its pet dictatorships (Iran, Syria, Venezuela, et al) is bad.

You’re assuming an all-singing, all-dancing FBI that is not in evidence. How the heck else did the 9/11 attacks get off the ground? How was there a period in which hundreds of bombs were set off per year?

https://time.com/4501670/bombings-of-america-burrough/

My impression is that a significant fraction of left-wing groups with a focus on direct action tends to be fairly well-organized and staffed by elite individuals, some of whom have gone on to become professors at top-ranked universities.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernardine_Dohrn
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kathy_Boudin
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Ayers

That’s why left-wing groups are difficult to penetrate - how does the typical blue collar undercover cop fake a knowledge of Derrida or Hegel? The jargon is BS, but it requires real mental horsepower. And that’s leaving aside the ideological biases that have left the FBI riddled with left-wingers, from a hiring standpoint, with the attitude that they have no enemies to the left.

Whereas the typical right-wing direct action organization is riddled with people who can’t even spell. These are not particularly difficult to penetrate, as the members aren’t exactly rocket scientists.

They may wait until he’s out. The next President will do that with the intent of eliminating the Tenth Amendment and the Electoral College.

That must be why we spent hundreds of millions helping the Turks wipe them out in eastern Turkey and northern Iraq during the Obama admin. I was there.

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. Sometimes someone is just a conservative who opposes regime change wars by our government.
