“Are troops unwelcome in the District of Columbia? “

Next on her list is the Old Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Filth way beyond garden variety communist.

“It’s time to restore Washington DC to be under Federal control as originally intended. “

Ah, but that would require a vote in Congress, wouldn’t it?

DC has become Chernobyl in a political sense. It is unsustainable to allow someone like this to use her assumed power to hijack the nations capitol. She is the Mayor of the town that surrounds the capitol. Setting up a monument to BLM across from the Presidential residence is an insult to the country.

And that is exactly how it feels. Watching so many falling all over themselves to ingratiate themselves to the Marxists
at BLM is sickening. Pretty much every Corporation is sending these bastards millions. Financing the destruction of the Nation.

“Ah, but that would require a vote in Congress, wouldn’t it?“

Congress is supposed to legislate for DC “in all cases whatsoever”.

This phrase had a specific meaning to the authors of the Constitution and it is unambiguous. So no, dissolving DC government should not require a vote in Congress, it simply needs the USSC to enforce the Constitution as written.

The Founders created the idea of a Federal District to hold the capital to keep just this kind of thing from happening. If the capital were in a politically hostile state, the state government would be in a position to hinder the Federal Government. D.C. gained “home rule” at the end of 1973 when Congress voted to give up its Constitutional power over the District.

Congress will never take back its power because it would be seen as both racist and undemocratic. Whether or not Congress had/has the Constitutional power to give up a Constitution-directed power would have to be settled by the SCOTUS and who would have standing to challenge?

Right she does...

and she has the Mooch’s ‘wig’ wearing down pat too...

This person is in a small area, of 705,000 Americans...and DJT IS POTUS with 320,000,000 (million) Americans...she needs to get over herself...

The limit for me even respecting this fraud, is when she closed down that street that runs by the WHITE HOUSE and allowed her workers paint BLACK LIVES MATTER...and renaming the street just because she wanted too...
She needs to be informed....

ALL LIVES MATTER, regardless of race, creed, or sex...

How many houses does she own? Here's three. Guessing the duplex is for rental income.

And this one that won't copy - https://www.bizjournals.com/washington/breaking_ground/2015/12/heres-what-mayor-muriel-bowser-paid-for-her-new.html

Madam Mayor seems to be doing rather well for being oppressed.

This mayor is an honorarial title. She is “mayor” of the City of Washington which is located in and is part of the District of Columbia.

Congress maintains supreme authority over the city and may overturn local laws.

BTW one wonders if Bowser (who doesn’t have this power either) has called up the District of Columbia National Guard? Why? Because the President is the CIC of this unit.

District of Columbia National Guard is the branch of the United States National Guard based in District of Columbia. It is made up of the D.C. Army National Guard and D.C. Air National Guard. Command structure is through the SecDef, and the commanding general of the DC Joint Force HQ of the DC National Guard (further extended command structure from the SecDef is through the Secretary of the Army).

The New Jersey National Guard is going to be deployed to a lot of places. The state is bankrupt and desperately needs outside funds, including federal dollars for them to mobilize.

I had coworkers in the National Guard in failing Democrat states who'd bitch about repeatedly deploying to the Sandbox, blaming the Feds. I'd laugh and straighten them out on the truth that their own governor did it because the state needed the money. Having been on active duty in a unit that requested Guard augmentees regularly, I was quite familiar how the process worked.

I also suspect the governors of Democrat states request deployments without caring about the impact on their Guard because Guard members tended to be more conservative.

I have run into a few sharp Guard members who serve in units outside their home state.
