Oh, yes. But a specialist has told me that such a surgery would be too risky, as it might lead to paralysis. On the bright side, I guess I’ll be exempt from the draft when the next Civil War comes.

BS, you need a new specialist. I know nothing of your condition however I had both my hips replaced and it was a Godsend, amazing the things that they can do these days. You won’t even need a scooter unless you just want one.

Did you look at minimally invasive hip surgery? It is a small incision, and instead of replacing the entire joint, they put in coverings for the ball and socket that go between them. No cutting the Gluteus muscle, and recovery is a couple of days. But you need to make sure the doctor isn’t just doing regular surgery, trying to make the cuts as small as possible, and calling it minimally invasive. The real thing is supposed to be quite revolutionary.
