Shelter in place everyone until this is thoroughly investigated- do not go outside- if you do you are being selfish- people could catch ecoli and die if you’ve had hamburgers in the last weeks or so- hospitals wil lbe over run, and there won’t be enough stomach pumps and activated charcoal to deal with this new emerging pandemic

“another pressure point to increase price?”

“In 2017, American meat companies produced:
26.3 billion pounds of beef”

I think we’ll be alright.

that is reassuring, thank you. As I’m sure most do, we normally buy in bulk, repackage and freeze.

This is the equivalent of one truckload. Not a big deal in the overall supply.

Wow. Grass-fed beef is expensive and I see it only in small quantities - no ‘family packs’. Supposed to be good, though...

Not a problem for me. At the prices I’m seeing for that stuff, I don’t care if the stores don’t sell any of it & have to throw it out. Got ahold of some tainted beef awhile back & while the illness didn’t last long, it was horrible in the short time it did last. Tired of hearing the old excuse that the price has to go up because there’s a shortage. With what some places are wanting to do with their police forces, there may be a shortage of them also. Does that mean the ones still working all get a raise? I’ve seen this old trick pulled so many times in the labor market as well. I’m sick of it. What it does may make some rich, but others pay for it by the sweat of their labor. Whether it is prices on material goods or over pricing in the labor market, the little guy is always stuck with the bill & he generally has no direction to go.
