This is hadly an apology. But its close enough. Gundy should have not backed down. Course it would have cost him his job, but he's likely done regardless.

And Gundy promptly caved in. The player has a right to end his scholarship at OK State for any reason and move on (he’s got an NFL future). It’s a shame Gundy and the OK State administration could not find a response better than abject cowardice.
Gumby needs to grovel obsequiously for days. He will then be told:

2. “You don’t really mean it.”

He needed to have simply stood his ground. He should have told people to grow up and watch whatever TV they’d like and he will do the same.

Ever think much about what makes a team win? I mean all college futbbol teams have big towering hunks of meat on the line, boys in the backfield that can run like deer or like they all just robbed a Quick Trip. They all recruit from a huge pool of aspiring talent. What sets the winning team apart from the other heap of meat that loses?
It is Da Coach that assembles, trains and inspires the team. Right now I see a lot of coaches giving into the demands of the meat.
