Not yet.

But soon.

Please refrain from abusing the main forum with your chat questions.

Probably not.

If so, every TV station, network, radio talkshow and website that has advertising would have been sued.

As said above, not yet. But before FaceBook has liability protection removed, LET’S REMOVE THE PROTECTION FROM GOOGLE FIRST! Google is the CENTER OF EVIL!

It’s buyer beware. It’s up to you to research the company and see if they are legitimate.

Well anyone should be able to ask a silly question. I don’t twit, face, or insta but I hate to not get the chance to say anybody can sue anybody for anything in this day and time. Employ a lawyer, spend lots of money and hope you win. Me I’ll buy a lottery ticket. :)

if FB has their liability protection removed, freerepublic is going to have its liability protection removed, too. people would have to stop excerpting news articles entirely or the site would be shredded by copyright lawsuits.

Depends on what happened and what your state calls criminal or liable.

One thing for sure - the feds have NO constitutional say-so regarding activities of free individuals and free enterprise.

Don’t know about that but if they put half as much energy in dealing with these scams as they do throwing people in “FB jail” for the unspeakable crimes of expressing theirnopinions, they can really be a positive force for good.

Well crap happens. Don’t believe it? Watch CNN for five minutes. IQ points drop like a stone and no news. Pretty amazing actually. Among other things I don’t do are vanity posts. That’s just me.

You get great deals! You can buy a Rolex or Patek Philippe watch for around $100 from some of these advertisers. Also products guaranteed to clean your house from COVID instantly! And air conditioners that can sit on your desk and air condition your whole house instantly just by pouring water in them.

What about Ginsue Knives and Bamboo Steamers? So many things, so little cash on hand. :)

I want to see Google held liable for copyright infringement. That alone would destroy them permanently. All the copyrighted music, movies on Youtube that they make a fortune on in ad revenue and they pay nothing or a fraction of a cent for. All of that stuff is wide open for the public to download or stream 100% free. To me it really shows how much Google has Congress in their back pocket

First I think they’re a private company.

I do think that they should be treated like a company such as the phone companies.

I almost hate to say this, but I think they need to be regulated.
