Thanks for info. It’s good to see some others posting about this tragedy.
I think although its not getting much coverage this case WILL lead to the outlawing of these no knock warrants.. Mitch will have to act and get it in the bill.
They’re very dangerous for all involved and we have heard from law enforcement families who say they dread doing them.
Why did Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shoot at the police first?
And then you limit them on a case-by-case basis. I know that’s difficult for an extreme libertarian to understand but each case is different.
You are a libertarian and I am a conservative. We are not the same animal. But have a good day
As I said their dangerous for all involved and should not be carried out in the first place.
A judge and/or some cops messed up in a horrific tragedy.
Why is race involved?
It shouldn’t be...
He didn’t think he was shooting at police. He was shooting at a man who just kicked his door in. All three officers were wearing plain clothes, which is highly unusual for no knock raids. Even plain clothes officers normally don a vest marked POLICE in large letters to avoid being shot by their own. Three plain-clothes officers executing a late night raid, without backup.
There are plenty of conflicting statements from both sides. A shooting like this is extremely chaotic and traumatizing for everyone involved, particularly for Walker. He said he and Taylor heard pounding at the door, but not any announcement of who it was. He armed himself and fired a shot when the door was blasted off its hinges and a man charged in aiming a gun. Seems like something almost every freeper would do. There were no drugs found in the apartment. If they had killed both Walker and Taylor, or even just Walker, we would never had heard of this case.

If someone breaks into my home in the wee hours of the morning and does not IMMEDIATELY show their badge you bet I’m going to start firing on them. As others have said no-knock warrants have their place but they are being abused.
It was the wrong house, so it definitely wasn’t legal. At least not at that address.

LE don’t like them either.
It’s the correct statement. We managed to get by with no knock raids for decades without a problem. They are a license to kill. They are immoral. They should be illegal. All cops should refuse to participate.
You’re right. The numbers matter, and the biggest number is the number of innocent people who get killed in no knock raids. Wrong house or otherwise. The simple fact most folks, when somebody kicks in their door, are going to try to defend themselves. By the time they find out it’s the cops, you’re probably already dead.
No knock raids MUST BE BANNED. They are the communist ideal, cops do whatever the hell they want and too bad for everybody else.
What would you do if somebody kicked your door in? Would you assume it’s the cops or a home invasion? Would you blindly comply or would you fight back?
If one can’t produce a warrant, then isn’t it safe to say that there was no warrant?
According to ETCM there was a warrant signed by a certain judge (rubber stamped like 99% of them sound familiar re: FISA?)
However they wont produce it for inspection and claim to have lost it which is convenient..
I would permit a no knock raid if the cop who applied and the judge who signed occupied the front of the raid stack. Not the door breaker, the two at the front of the line. And if shooting those two was a misdemeanor not a felony.
Tell me what evidence is worth the several citizen’s lives that they cost every year. And allow that some of them are YOUR wife or kids or parents.
BLM and Antifa want to burn the country down for Floyd. it is perverse who the left choose to martyr.
