In Here is New York, a 1949 love letter to his adopted home, author E.B. White declared it a miracle that the city managed to exist at all.
The whole thing is implausible, he wrote. Every time the residents brush their teeth, millions of gallons of water must be drawn from the Catskills and the hills of Westchester.

He needs to be hung by his ankles over the Brooklyn bridge after being beaten with small wooden bats
So, no one to give you supporting fire?
He needs to be hung by his ankles over the Brooklyn bridge, then eaten by bats/mosquitoes/flies/wasps.
I was wondering if he is using the script for “Fort Apache the Bronx” for a leadership manual to get into the presidency.
If it’s truth you are after, Dr Tyree’s philosophy class is just down the hall
“At least the peeps are not crapping on the streets, yet.”
Actually, they are. Because of the forced restaurant closures, peeps who formerly used the restaurant bathrooms had nowhere to go. So there has been some crapping in the streets.
Churches are now open—went to Mass today!
Great!
Where?
Manhattan.
Great how big of a crowd and what guidelines/restrictions did your church have to deal with.
Thanks for the good news.
Dave
Only 25% of usual attendance can enter and they count at the front door. Seating is every other pew and there is a cantor and no choir. No shaking hands for the sign of peace. Of course, mask wearing which is SO hard for singing, you must take communion in your hand and all printed programs are tossed at the end of Mass.
Thanks.
At least you were there for mass, communion and the peace.
Did they take your temp before you went in.
Thankfully, no temp taking!
Actually, temp taking is the one requirement I would like to see when we start reopening our church.
If you have a temp, you should not be around people without a temp.
The well run hospitals require a temp check on anyone coming in to work, to be a same day patient, to pick up an RX that can’t be mailed or whatever reason.
They are doing temp checks in barbershops, beauty shops and manicuring shops. If you have a temp, you can’t come into the shop/store/whatever.
I will suggest that temp checks be a protocol to our vestry members as we work out our protocols.
Temp checks w/the new non touch thermometers are non invasive and don’t touch the person.
If you have a fever, you should not be in church, a store, restaurant or whatever. You should be at home.
Are you sure? I don’t believe you.
Don’t care, they voted for it.
13 other neighbors on the road. We are all alike in our beliefs. Only one way in. One side has 100 foot highwall, other side is mile of multi flora rose.
He’s just getting it ready for its NEW New York debut for the New World Order. Getting rid of anyone who does not want to march jack booted in step with United States Socialist Regime.
After almost 35 years living in Tampa, FL I’m moving to rural TN during the first week of October - if not sooner. Ironically I’ll probably sell my place here for a pretty penny to some New Yorker trying to escape that Hell hole.
