Death row inmate dies as coronavirus outbreak spreads to over 1,000 prisoners at San Quentin

With about a third of San Quentin’s inmates now infected with the coronavirus after a transfer of prisoners from a Southern California correctional facility overrun by the illness, Marin County officials revealed Monday that a death row inmate found dead last week in his cell tested positive for COVID-19.

1,059 inmates and 102 correctional and medical staff have tested positive for the virus.

On Monday, 22 inmates were being treated at the county’s hospitals, officials said.

So out of 1,059 inmates who have COVID, one of them dies WITH COVID, and not necessarily FROM COVID.

If you do a search you can find video of inmates intentionally trying to give themselves the virus so they can be released early.

Probably not within their cells. Then theres the issue of just about anything with strings being a deadly weapon where an inmate can choke a person to death with, guard or fellow inmate.

I disagreed strongly with the liberal cries of releasing criminals for fear they might catch COVID. They could also catch an ass-whooping in prison. Should criminals be released with the same logic for that?

Sorry, man. You did the crime and you get in prison whatever comes to you, including COVID or AIDS.
