I think being interested in history also puts things in perspective. This COVID19 sucks but it is nothing compared to plagues and Spanish Flu.

We don’t need apocalyptic movies anymore. We are living it.
In apocalyptic movies there is no happy ending.

I still dont know anyone who got this. Supposedly I tested positive for antibodies. Not quite a shitkicker of a flu... had the sweats and a dry cough in Feburary. Never missed a day of work, and no one else there got it.
It should have killed me, if I believed what they said. My liver is shot, and I am a smoker.
The biggest scam in human history. I got worse things when my wife worked in a daycare. Those little monster children and their hyper immune systems carry things you usually only catch in Africa.

Dawn of the Dead are more resilient and better prepared to cope with BLM protestors.
They needed a study to find that out?!

I would say that the effect of these "virus-zombie apocalypse" movies was exactly the opposite of what this article claims.
Au contraire, I say these movies were at least partly responsible for the public's insane overreaction to COVID-19.

They want it to happen so they can start killing people with impunity like they do in the dystopian movies.

Contagion vastly mis-represented the societal breakdown that would occur in that scenario.
