Maybe get an outdoor antenna and make sure it is amplified.
Did you try Locast?
The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street is a fave. It reminds me of online conservatives attacking each other for supposed impurity.
As a writer, Rod Serling had a weakness for characters bringing the action to a halt to deliver long, pompous speeches. He helped with the screenplay for Seven Days in May, and you see it there too.
The Original Outer Limits was better, imho.
I think the guy who played Apollo in Star Trek, was also in the “Monsters ... Maple Street” episode of TZ.
The monsters are the residents who in their fear, start being angry and attack those who bolster their fears. It is a commentary on the fragility and irrationality of human beings in the face of the unknown perceived threat. You can find those behaviours from all humans...libs...commies...conservatives..theists...atheists..rich...poor...at the end of the episode it is clear that the aliens understood that, and used it to their advantage.
I love the diatribe by the commissioner played by Fritz Weaver. Classic snotty, clueless, authoritarian. The allegory he uses of the printers ink being the opiate that the “librarian” injected, giving out false ideas and hopes through “books”
Don’t have to tune in. We’ve been watching “Twilight Zone” on the evening news for weeks.
Always a favorite of mine as well. We named our Springer Mr. Wordsworth lol
Does anyone know who is carrying the TZ marathon this year? If I remember correctly, SYFY quit broadcasting it.
