Except he’s now running against Trump, and he’ll be seen as an alternative for many Black Democrats who are not generally enthusiastic about Biden.

I think Kanye knows this will help Trump. He cannot win but he can sure destroy the Democrat’s chances. The presidential election is about Electoral College votes. It is not a popularity contest where the person with the most popular votes becomes president.
He would need to make it on the ballot in only MI, PA, WI, FL, NC and OH to guarantee a Trump reelection.
President Trumps statement should be if asked about a Kanye West presidency. I would sleep better at night than having Biden and his leftist anarchists in charge but the truth is the only way to stop that is a vote for President Trump
