This is finally the big one. The walls are closing in. Unnamed experts and anonymous senior white house officials are concerned.
I don’t think your basic black Trump voter, successful and middle class, is your Kanye voter. I see him getting a few blacks that really don’t like Biden.

After Trump’s final 4 years, I would kind of like to see Kanye really try again. I’d buy a ton of popcorn. It would be truly amusing to watch the lamestream media try to find some way to criticize him.

Ba-zinga...... The dems have seen the polls and seen the defection of the middle-class black vote to Trump. They have launched Black Lives Matter and are also pushing this Kanye West “presidential run”... trying to ‘claw-back” these voters.
I’m thinking he don’t know anything about runnong a country.!
Then again...there’s Biden and most all the democrat wishfuls.
Last I knew West was a big supporter of Trump’s and I believe they are pretty good friends. Perhaps West is doing it to draw votes away from Biden.

So looks like this would be a write-in effort, which can really only hurt Biden. I believe Trump supporters are pretty much locked in at this point. But many Democrats who would normally just check the "D" box regardless of what candidate they have listed there, might throw a vote to Kanye. He is a popular guy, especially with the younger crowd.
I still think Kanye has his sights set on 2024 so this little stunt might just be to see how much support he has currently and how hard he'll have to work if he wants to be a serious candidate in 2024.
He appeared with Joel Osteen of all people. Enough said.
I think he is more likely to pull black voters off of Biden. That would be a great thing.

He will only draw off Black voters who would ordinarily vote Democrat, but while they are there they might revert to form and vote Democrat down ballot. This is not terrible but not necessarily good.A minus on balance.

I do not know what Black Democrats will do in 2020.
However, I can predict with absolute certainty that almost none of the Democrats who voted Libertarian or Green Party in 2016 will throw away their votes again in 2020.
I still get sick at the thought.
