Years ago I was at a traditional Catholic conference, and Msgr. Schmitz of the Institute of Christ the King was at our table for the dinner. He described missionary work in Gabon, Africa. The most unsettling thing (after being served a pile of boiled baby monkeys), was the lack of anything resembling a family structure. The children do not have father figures nor even know who their father is. It is a recipe to remain in subsistence living and horrible, unstable lives for women and their children.
The “Western” nuclear family is an American invention that resulted from America being a place to which people emigrated as individuals leaving the almost universal Extended Families that were the norm throughout the world, The Communist BLM wishes to destroy this innovation to return to what? Not the traditional extended family, but to atomised society, without any family structure at all. Anarchy is the order of the day followed very quickly by rule of the strongest. BLM is historically mistaken if it thinks it will be the strongest.

Lots of black people have intact families and raise their children themselves. BLM has no business telling them how to run their lives.
Let’s say for the sake of argument, that some black radicals actually raise their offspring on a collectivist “it takes village” plan, as opposed to the “fire and forget” method.
1. What exactly is stopping them? Go ahead BLM; knock yourselves out.
2. A real basic for child-rearing is NOT MURDERING CHILDREN. Presumably that is not in the “tribal child-rearing handbook”. Suggestion: BLM could start discouraging its target community from murdering its own children with impunity.
3. Those who desire a tribal model of child rearing, should not apply for or accepting public assistance (EBT, Section 8, WIC, Medicaid, tax credits for child care, etc.). The Village must pay. Those who exist off subsidies cannot pretend to be independent, and must live by whatever rules are imposed by the “donors”.

I agree. I’ve been subscribing to Intercessors for America lately. They have wonderful current events articles but also articles on what’s going on in spiritual world related to everything we are seeing in the culture.
