Cool post.
I’m always intrigued by physicists trying to prove “foundational-or-samller” particles.
It gives Einstein a chubby.

Then, I always ask, “So, what can we /DO/ with the particle now that we know Einstein was right*?”
I mean, can we grind up a couple gorillion Moles of them and use them as “anyon butter” on our toast?
I get no answers other than “Excelsior!”

I'm always hopeful that all this bashing stuff together harder and faster -- and studying the "wreck debris" -- is going to give us something useful -- like a better understanding of gravity -- and how to control it locally -- as in a FTL starship...

And, yep, I'm stil PO'd about Clinton-era Congress canceling the Superconducting Supercollider in Texas. :-{

BTW, did anyone notice that the Europeans just announced that they're extending the length of their ~17 mile) "racetrack" at CERN -- to more nearly match the Texas rig's 54 miles?
