Re Death of Grant from Mythbusters:
Grant had such a sweet personality on the show. His other show The White Rabbit Project was cancelled after one season. The first episode covered:

The team tests the viability of various superpowers such as mind control and human flight.
Given the death of the actor, the name of the show, and the subject of first episode of the show, I’d say it’s worthy of a dig.

Entertainment Weekly brought the first clip from the December 9 release of The White Rabbit Project, in which The former MythBusters team of Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara “go down the rabbit hole on the internet” to one person’s muscle movements controlling another’s.

Grant’s costar, Tory, is also interesting. In his bio:
At an early age, his father showed him how to make a Molotov cocktail.
During MythBusters’ 2010 break, Belleci volunteered time to visit Haiti. He visited orphanages and installed clean water systems with “Life Giving Force,” a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing clean water to communities in need. He communicated that the trip has had a profound effect on him and that he admires the resilience of the Haitian people.

Surprisingly, his home page doesn’t seem to refer in any way to Haiti, though his wiki page says it was an experience that changed him.
