Cops say the homeowner knew the perps. Looks like the perps didnt know the homeowner (well enough). Seems like a rule to live by if you’re a thug is “know your victim”.

I couldn’t get the article to load. But I’ve read elsewhere that the homeowner liked to brag about his gun collection on social media. So the perps probably knew what just what was in their house.
The homeowner made a stupid mistake by bragging on social media. The perps made an even stupider mistake by assuming he’d be sleeping when they broke in.
“Knew the perps”. He had every right to shoot them, of course, but I wonder what they were after, since they all knew each other. Kinda sounds like a scene from Breaking Bad, a show I wish I had never watched, especially near the end, as it just got more and more evil and seamy.
