Pollster John McLaughlin: Media Surveys Deliberately Underplaying Trump Voters
Newsmax ^ | 07/19/2020 | Brian Freeman

Media polls are deliberately underplaying Republican voters by as much as 9% to give the false impression that President Donald Trump is well behind in the race for the November election, Trump pollster John McLaughlin said on Sunday. Speaking on "The Cats Roundtable" radio show on WABC 770 AM hosted by John Catsimatidis, McLaughlin explained that "The media is polling [all] adults. Not likely voters. If you poll likely voters, like Rasmussen did, where you use a model of actual voter turnout, Republicans, who vote over 90% for Trump, will be one-third of the poll. They were 33% in the exit polls in 2016. When you do [all] adults, there aren't as many Republicans because any adult in the United States could even mean… non-citizens could be in that poll because they're randomly calling cell phones and landlines."

“I believe Trump voters are lying to the pollsters. Especially ones like ABC/NBC/CBS/NY Times/Washington Post polls.”

That, plus the MSM polls are outright fudging their sampling techniques to produce a desired result. It’s 2016 all over again. That being said, lets all get out there and volunteer to help the Trump campaign as if we’re really behind.

The polls are meant to INFLUENCE public opinion. Not to REFLECT it. They are nothing more than propaganda.
The fact that so many, even here on FreeRepublic do not seem to understand this is quite disappointing really. You’d think every Freeper would understand this.

Yeah and Hillary had even wider margins throughout the entire election cycle. I guess you learned nothing from 2016?

There was only one post, with a bunch of different polls listed. Do I need to repeat myself? The polls at the link were done by the same pollsters as 2016. While you believe they show accurate polling data, they were all wrong in 2016. I take all these polls with a huge grain of salt, just as I did in 2016.

Reading is not your strong suit.

Whatever. You're obviously not the brightest bulb in the pack.

Polls are played with in many ways. But I see you can't argue about the fact that polls in 2016 showed Hillary leading in every one of them, and they were all wrong.

BTW, how Noble of you to act like a liberal who cannot debate without trying to smear the opponent. What a class act you are.

Free clue: read this passage from the article, then reread my post for comprehension:

“The media is polling [all] adults. Not likely voters. If you poll likely voters, like Rasmussen did”

I lie?

I understood what you were saying right from the get-go. My point was that even those claiming to be of likely voters, does not mean they really are. Anyone can say anything. Some people will be fooled some of the time, while others will be fooled repeatedly. Thus my mention of 2016.

This was the extent of your post that I responded to before you started all the BS posting to me:

Several likely-voter polls show Biden ahead: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/national/

I will refrain from getting into a name calling session with you, because I don't respond like a liberal, nor do I respond like an idiot. Now move along, you bore me.

My poor little Noble one, it is you who cannot tell an analysis, based upon your posting of supposedly likely voter polls to confirm Biden really does lead, that you must believe that those polls are accurate, and more importantly honest. Otherwise, why would you post the link to these "likely voter polls"?

If my analysis is inaccurate, then what was your purpose to link to these "likely voter polls"?

If it was to encourage us to get out an vote, it is unnecessary. I doubt many here are swayed by polls, especially after 2016. Only death will keep me from voting, but fraud may certainly negate my vote.

You're either a liar or functionally illiterate.

To rebut the article's claim that likely-voter polls showed no significant Biden lead. I gave you the free clue and you fumbled it. So sad.

Pretty much agree.

Biden is ahead, but it isn’t a huge lead and can be overcome.

Trump needs to continue to be super aggressive and drive up Bidens negatives.

Fortunately, he is the best in the business at that.

IF Biden refuses to debate Trump calls him a coward. How can he lead the country if he’s scared to debate?

So in fact I was right, you were touting the narrative that the polls were not only accurate but honest. No, poor little Noble one, it is you that is sad.

See I not only understood your purpose, I correctly analyzed your motivation. I guess you fall among those that can be fooled repeatedly.

I guess you believe Rasmussen is the inaccurate dishonest poll, since all these others tell a different story. Yet you still seem to ignore 2016 at all costs.
