For the police on the scene, it was a no-win situation. Do as they did and be accused of dereliction of their duty; step in, protect the peaceful and make arrests then be charged with whatever the leftist administration can come up with.

They follow the orders and do the bidding of the names that have their signatures on their paychecks. Almost exclusively in cities in America, even in Red States, those are names of leftist Democrats. Sheriffs’ departments, often elected, are a different beast.
