I agree- there’s no changing minds that are shut tight. Also- with lots of them I think there’s some self-righteousness and plain smugness at play. THEY are enlightened- we are racist rubes!

I’ve left behind several acquaintances and a few friends since Trump became president. At first I was crushed, but realized we had much less in common than I thought- it was just shared experiences. Not shared values.
