(CNN)Mike Adams, the former University of North Carolina Wilmington professor who angered the campus community on Twitter, was found dead in his home Thursday afternoon, according to the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office.
Adams was found dead and alone in his home during a welfare check at about 2 p.m., Jerry Brewer, a public information officer with the sheriff's department, told CNN. The investigation into his death is ongoing, Brewer said.
Adams' death comes less than a month after the university announced that he would retire following campus uproar over his tweets.

My gut tells me he was murdered but they will tell us it was suicide.
I was thinking he could write more books, but wonder if he could find a publisher today?

Of course, there is a possibility he was murdered, there is visceral hate driving the lefties nowadays. Another possibility I thought of was it might have been mixed up some how with the lawyer who killed the judge’s family.
And can no longer protect his ideas and confusions.
He was probably murdered by an Antifa or Black Lies Matter terrorist.

My first thought as well, but some tweeting twits seem to behave differently.

People react differently when they start receiving hundreds of thousands of hate-filled threats.
Then there was the woman who accidentally texted her husband instead of her lover, and left behind two kids.

One of the last things he posted was a beer and burger party he had with friends out someplace.
That is almost suicidal, so who knows?

This is vile and inexcusable, according to university brass? Maybe they need a sugar tit to get over it. Where’s the smelling salts?

Holy Crap!! He was such a great writer! Excellent sense of humor. Doubt this was from “natural” causes or suicide. He was far too positive to go that route.
Let’s just hope this isn’t their latest version of “deplatforming”.
With a $500K settlement, he could have taken some time to write a book or whatever.
And yes, the excuse for his being forced out was sorry indeed.
