At least the chief was honest. The interesting issue on the ballot for King county is whether or not the voters will give the power to the city council to determine the sheriff’s responsibilities.
So the voters will be given the opportunity to screw themselves again.
The Sheriff was elected by voters of King County. The Seattle City Council and Mayor have no authority over the Sheriff.
