The word is spelled D-O-G. My daughter could spell the word correctly when she was two years old.
Or is there a reason he is typing in Ebonics? I guess he is trying to be "down with the struggle." Does he have a "No Hate Here!" sign on his apartment door? Maybe a "Black Lives Matter!" bumper sticker on his Prius?
