I have been working for a long time on covid issues, treatment articles and the like that I intend to make downloadable info available for friends and interested parties.
Will have mp4 and pdf files of key pertinent info. Will post link here when I’m done.
I need a download and storage site. I used to have an old photo site that I could use to park things. Will have about 20 files from 20 K pdf to 300 mb videos. Total size about a few gig. Prefer to spend less than $100 a year for the site.
What I need urgently is the following…..
1. A simple storage-download site that is reachable by a simple url for interested people to download (view from would also be nice if pdf or mp4) No apps needed for download or viewing.
2.Users would not need to register or need to know my email or password, or have file invite link to download.
3. Users should not be able to modify or delete my files on the storage site.
I have spent two days looking but can’t find anything like my old photo storage/sharing site that worked great for this kind of thing.
Please help with any comments, ideas, and suggestions that you might be aware of and reply here.
It also has the types of access controls you mentioned.
You can buy that kind of storage for about that kind of money direct from hostgator.com and a thousand other web hosting companies. You can also pick your own web name, and exert almost complete control.
Dropbox.com works great for me.
