You are wonderful but he is still up near Dawson Creek BC, and we are working getting him down Province and on a ride across the border. It will be days at least.
Drive safely on your trip.
I said what...???
then I just laughed out loud.
I walked over the border at pole bridge Montana last summer and checked out Canada a bit around Waterton Lakes without any official acknowledgement and then hiked back into northwestern edge of Glacier Park
Have someone hike the dog over and you meet them somewhere along the border above Polebridge
But thats a long Way from where u live
I assume where you live its pretty porous in the back woods ....I was up there in the 80s.....seemed so
I mean lets face it our northern border is mostly just for vehicles on paved roads
Other than that its an idea not a reality
Shipping over border I think requires quarantine
Believe it or not the border is really well policed up here. Mostly with electronic survaillance. They know you are there at least 25 miles before the border. It is crazy.
Now if yoiu are hiking in the williwacks?
I am unsure although someone left me with the impression that there is survaillace at all the tote roads.
What I understand now is that there is no dog quarantine between the countries now. He just has to have his papers in order.
I guess we all will someday soon.
oh I used flicker, different I think.
I took a little effort, but I figured you're worth it. Besides, it was a challenge and I'm bored!
Talent and beauty in one package!
Thank you
I don’t know what breed Monty is, but perhaps that breed has a rescue group in your area? Start by googling Monty’s breed rescue groups. Ask if they have transports....volunteers who transport rescues from one location to another. I know in the English Bulldog rescues, many of them have people who will drive a dog from point A to point B.....getting the bully to the next set of drivers who in turn drive for so far to reach the next set of drivers. And so forth until they get the bully to its final destination. There has got to be a rescue group in your area who would be willing to help, even if it is not Monty’s specific breed rescue? Especially if you offer a donation to the rescue. Good Luck I do hope you can get Monty to your home....he’s a cutie!
Thank you, I will try that.
He looks like he has a lot of Border Collie in there ;) I would reach out to the their breed rescue site and see if you can get a caravan started, where folks each take a leg of the trip that routes through their locale.
I will look and see if I can get a link :)
God bless you for giving that beautiful boy a home.
Tatt
Hope this works - right off I got the New England Border Collie Rescue folks.
No quarantine is really good
*snicker* ;)
Oops! I always thought the BMD’s were much bigger guys, but here is a link for their rescue site.
Good luck, either way he is gorgeous :)
I had an English Shepherd I got from a rescue group after the girlfriend gave up the dog for her boyfriend. Stupid woman.
She was the most wonderful dog, looked a lot like Monty.
Good luck to you getting her down to the States; she’ll be worth the price!
LSAggie (posting on hubby’s account)
Oh no kidding? I didn’t realize there was a smaller type. In any case he is gorgeous! & you’re an angel for furbabies ;) I truly hope that you find the way to get him home.
LOL - Last attempt - dog identification is clearly NOT my thing ;)

The English Shepherd site.
Thank you, I will try that.
I know, although the breeder just told me that he needs a rabies shot, not needed in her area and he has to wait for 30 days after the shot before going through which sounds like a quarantine to me.
