Now this will sound real cheezy to the gun buff that has perfect weapons and cleans them more often than he take a bath.

I just got through shooting a Judge that shoots left 10 inches at 50 feet using 45 LC’s. There is no more sight adjustment left. So I’m just going to make a label to put on the gun indicating such, so the next time I shoot it I know how to compensate for it.

When shooting the 410 ga 0000 buck self defense rounds, it’s right on the money. Same with bird shot. For some odd reason the 45’s go left.

My point is, like you said, this crap is hard to remember when you have several weapons. Especially something like the Judge or Governor that shoots several different types of ammo.

Labels work.

I had a similar issue with a Marlin 30-30 lever action. The wrong front sight was installed on it and no matter what you did it was shooting 9 in low. So instead of trying to compensate I slapped a Red Dot sight on it. Bingo everything is hunky-dory now.

That 30-30 sounds tame compared to the semi-auto carbines we have access to. But it’s one of the most fun guns to shoot in my opinion
