Many old men think they cannot be a force to preserve the republic. Some of them overlook the fact they can shoot a flea off a dogs back at 100yds with iron sights.
As long as they have their glasses:)
I share with several other older guys the attitude “If it gets to CWII/RWII, I’m going down with a very hot barrel.”

Former IDPA first place in two state championships and ninth in IDPA National Championship. Good thing about lots of practice and matches it develops muscle memory. You don’t have to remember what to do. Just flip the switch. I hope that never happens... so far it hasn’t and that is a good thing.
