Obviously “public health” is an ass.
This has nothing to do with health. Never has been. It is only about the election.
so....get a positive test result on June 14, get hit by a bus on August 2, and bingo, another COVID death.
They sure did sucker Trump with this demand for massive, massive, massive testing.
Pretty soon they’ll be able to classify nearly any death as COVID.
I don’t know what “associated” means here. The CDC has a spot for listing the underlying cause of death and the immediate cause of death and guidelines for when COVID-19 is to be listed on either of those that don’t include “died sometime within a couple months of being diagnosed with COVID-19”.
If they’re just listing that diagnosis in the notes on the death certificate, there’s nothing necessarily improper about that. If they’re actually listing it as a cause of death (immediate or underlying), then that’s a problem.
So those who die of gun shot or car accidents also count as COVID-19 deaths? Good to know.
Yes...you;ll be hard-pressed to hear anything about COVID if Plugs wins. Mission Accomplished. Trump will win and there will be people dropping dead in the streets! Bet on it!
An acquaintance of mine “recovered” from covid19 in may, then died of a heart attack a month later. He was athletic with no known health issues. His family is certain he died because of covid19, and they’ve been researching into numerous similar cases.
Can we assume there has to be a primary cause of death?
So, if I have a heart attack...that won’t be listed?
These same people are going to tout mask wearing, social distancing, and quarantining for reducing death rates in every condition from cancer to obesity.
Mark my words.

That happened to a high-school classmate of my mom’s. He was 18 at the time. And a Varsity basketball player. Keeled over at mid-court.
This got me thinking...
In NYS the numbers for elderly nursibg home residents are horrific. But if some of thise dead really died while positive and not from WuFlu, how can Cuomo admit that since it means he’s been cooking the stats...
He can’t afford an investigation. Period.
Really makes me wonder what the real covid death numbers are. I assume that not just Maricopa Cnty does this. Is the real death toll 50% of the “total”? Maybe even less.
