gonna have to disconnect hoses from frost-free hose-bibs and trickle water from evaporative cooler supply line and sprinkler system supply lines, because no doubt it's gonna heat up again and i'll need to use those systems some more ...
“gonna go from high near 100 degrees today to 90% chance of snow in three days and low of 28 degrees where i live!”
Geez. I know CO has some really screwy weather. I thought KY was bad.
I flew into Denver one morning and it was snowing with 2 inches of snow on the ground. By the afternoon, it was 70 degrees.
I’m on the Gulf coast of the FL panhandle and it’s 95° here. Just looked at the wx temp current map and it’s in the upper 70°’s in N Ga and TN. Cold front sliding through.
Can’t help it...It’s that blasted GLOBAL WARMING...
BTW, I told my lovely wife this is going to be an epic historical cold winter ahead.
That was a neat little town years ago. Has it grown too much yet?
Meanwhile, here in east central Oklahoma I don’t think summer will ever end and I’ve been wishing for it since early July!
I just don’t remember such oppressive high dew point heat from 50 years ago. Maybe I just take it much worse now. I sweat so much yesterday I had leg cramps all night. I welded in the barn and it was like a sauna in there.
Keep insulated!
I took a plane trip to Great Falls,MT in 1979.
The high temp that day was 54. The low temp was -13.
It do happen.
Most of my watermelons, cantaloupe and honeydews about a week away from ripe, (Greeley). The size of my melon patch all but precludes covering them.
Could 2020 suck any worse?
Don't answer that, (jinx).
Well THAT sounds fun. (Not). And wow....was just checking traffic...whats going on I-70 westbound towards Rockies from Denver? Crikey. People hurrying up to hope to do some skiing? :)
Hoo Boy! Driving in to Trinadad from TX this Monday. Tues over to Buena Vista. Better us 4Wheel Drive
Live on the western slope of Colorado. This Canadian front coming in next week will be a welcome respite we had the hottest August on record this year. The local weather guy here has the most boring weather to report I’ve lived all over the country, New England, Ohio River valley, north Carolina where local weather types require some degree of expertise. Here basically they tell you what the high & low temperature will be and when the sun is coming up & setting. Oh yeah, full moon tonight rising at 8:55.
7 degrees coming to Grand Lake, record temps.
Looking at going out to see the aspens turning color towards the end of the month. These temps may turn them now or just drop the leaves.
