The attack happened at South Dakota's Custer State Park
A bystander captured the moments a bison charged at a woman in South Dakota.
In the video, a group of motorcycle riders approach a herd of bison scattered in the middle of a road at Custer State Park, but one woman gets too close to a mother and her calf.
The bison charges at her and manages to get its horns into her jeans. The animal then throws the woman around and tosses her out of her pants before she manages to escape.
The person who recorded the encounter wants it to serve as a reminder about what can happen when getting too close to a wild animal.

Fortunately a group of bikers socially distanced from the bison and helped her. Hope she was wearing underwear.

Having lived near a wilderness area for a few years, it amazed me how the typical tourist thought they were in Disneyland and all the animals were tame or animatronic. Lots of them ended up in the obituaries.

I lived about 4 miles from the Great Smoky Mtns. Nat’l Park...
I was driving through Cades Cove, an 11 mile one way loop in the Park heading to a trout stream...Tourist traffic had stopped and was backed up for a good bit...I thought, “Must be a bear or some deer...”
When I finally got to where the people were stopping, I saw tourists out of their cars taking pictures....Of a freaking Red-Headed Woodpecker sitting on a log.....
A WOODPECKER!!!!!!!!

The woman got off the motorcycle and went up an embankment, then sat crosslegged to use her smartphone camera. Darwin Award wanna-be but no prize. I agree with the one who contributed the video with the warning of encroaching on wild animals, especially ones with offspring. For that woman, it was an ‘E Ticket’ PLUS ride!
If the virus does not get those city folks the animals will get them. Darwin’s theory will find a way to win.
