Favorite John McKay(NFL days) quote:

When asked about his team’s execution:

“I’m in favor of it.”

FYI from the New Ohio State President ...
Ohio State President Kristina M. Johnson is spearheading B1G talks today with other presidents on safety protocols & other issues regarding season restart, per source.

Busiest day the B1G has had all year. Getting closer to finalizing October 10th fall football season.

Thanks for posting! What a great way to start the day with some humor.

Years ago, Texas Tech University football program was on the deep end of losing. Maybe TCU was worse, and they always seemed to beat Tech; and Tech seemed to be able to beat the Aggies.

The “wisdom” out there was: “If you want to go to a good university that doesn’t have college football, go to Texas Tech.”

Eventually coaches Spike Dykes and Mike Leach came along and got them some wins.

My favorite Paul Bryant (AKA: Bear) saying.= “Alabama players need only to be 3 things: HOSTILE, MOBILE & VIRILE”.

I am an avid Notre Dame and UCLA fan, and I’ve hated USC ever since I was a little kid. That being said, John McKay was a very good coach, and his quips always put a smile on my face.

Back in the 1960s an Alabama player was being interviewed, and was asked what lessons he had learned from coach Bear Bryant. The kid just looked at the reporter, and said, “Hit.”

what is football?

I am an avid Bama fan and recognize how far both Bama and ND have fallen when it comes to leadership (i.e. both universities are by leftist turncoats). Bear Bryant and Knute Rockne would be sickened if they saw the current state of affairs.

I could throw in an anecdote whose punchline is “Because nine hundred and ninety nine are not enough.”, but I won’t do that now because it’s a moot point.

I’m taking the season off. I’m gonna miss it, but I’m gonna have other stuff to do.

Here’s a couple of old ones from my part of the world.

What does the “N” on the side of Nebraka’s helmet’s stand for? Knowledge

What do Tom Osborne and Billy Graham have in common? They are the only two men in America who can make 76,000 people stand up and yell “Jesus Christ” at the same time.

Why does Tom Osborne eat his cereal on a plate? Because if he put’s it in a bowl he will lose it.

Why do all the trees in Kansas lean south? Because Oklahoma sucks.
