Its kinda personal for me too. Having worked in a law enforcement related capacity, known hundreds of poh-leese, and seen the dark underbelly of society and what a policeman has to cope with. And how they have to act.
Police are people just like you and me.
This gives one an understanding that you are incapable of having. Even without that knowledge, I would understand that the police represent civilization, which is why the derps are attacking them now.
The cops not only protect civilization (law abiding people) and all their rights, but they ARE us, in a sense.
For you, or anybody else, to castigate them as some type of 'other', is to not understand the human condition.
Are there bad cops? Of course. I've seen them and fought against them, sometimes to my own detriment. But you cannot tar the entire institution because of the few bad seeds. There are bad seeds in every profession.
We certainly don't need the good guys (you) turning against civilization. We have enough of that already from the bad guys.
Also, what tf does epilepsy got to do with anything? Caesar had epilepsy and he loved the cops.
