What the heck? Generally, later round playoff games get higher ratings, don’t they?

Is one excuse that they are playing during what is normally the NBA off season????

I bet they could get sell out crowds if they played in North Korea

I think they mean the later rounds of the playoffs are more important or significant towards determining the champion.

What causes NBA games to become “more important?”

When the Kardashians go off the air, it makes other low-IQ TV watching more important.

Ya know, I just don’t see the NBA anywhere on Moslow’s Pyramid.

The more people watch, the more they tire of the propaganda.

“NBA Ratings Fall As Games Become Increasingly Important” Important to whom? The Chinese maybe, or bookmakers, but not real people. Has that scumbag James put up any money to catch the shooter? The LA Sheriff nailed his phony ass with that challenge didn’t he?

I wonder what the (W)NBA rating is?

That W is placed there loosely unless you think Big Mike is the epitome of womanhood.

THAT makes sense. I would have liked them to have called that out.

It sure doesn’t follow that any sports game is truly “important” in a general sense. The financial aspects could be “important” to a sector of the economy, though.

The NBA should have saved themselves the trouble and just handed LeMao his NBA title. It's what they wanted to do from the beginning of the bubble. I bet they wouldn't have bothered if the Lakers weren't in the playoffs, although there were financial considerations to be made had they not played the extra games.

I'm sure the networks who own the TV contracts were delighted with the product produced in the bubble?

On local sports talk radio this afternoon they were twisting themselves into pretzels trying to come up with explanations for plunging sports TV ratings that do not involve patriot boycotts.

When I was young, my parents always told me. “This is a waste of the time, it is all the same.” Now I see it too. Just few repeated plays, back an forth. Samo, samo.
And, honestly, who cares who wins? It just does not matter who wins. Life just keeps going. Gas will not get cheaper if Lakers wins! In few days everybody will forgot about it. Election has consequences affecting MY life, not the results of today’s game!
