Yeah, Famous Grouse is pretty good scotch, but I prefer Johnny Walker Black Label. But, to each his own.
As for chili, my wife (she’s from Louisiana) makes some “real hot” chili, and scotch just won’t do it. But ice cold beer will!

but my late friend Ben always gave me hell about it.

I’m trying to get rid of it to Get some J Black. Since Covid, I went from Inver House to JW Black. We suddenly have more money that we can spend. I rarely drink liquor (shut up ClintonisaLiar) so a fifth lasts me months.
