The outbreak was caused by a 2019 leak of contaminated waste gas at a pharmaceutical plant that manufactures animal vaccines. The firm was found to be using expired disinfectants, allowing residual bacteria to be released through exhaust gasses.
It is thought the leak began in late July and continued until late August last year. In December, it was reported that 181 people at a nearby veterinary research facility had been infected, and in January, authorities revoked the plants vaccine production licence. The full scale of the outbreak has not been widely reported until now.
In addition to the confirmed 3,245 cases, another 1,401 residents have tested preliminarily positive for brucellosis, and more cases are expected.

Yes our meds are made in China. Thats why Kodak is going to start making medications here in the US.
China does not manufacture our meds. They supply ingredients and that is decreasing.
Completed medications are not supplied by China to the U.S. market. Ask any pharmacist.
Yup, China provides the powders and other ingredients that are pressed into pills here, not the actual finished pills, anyone who says the active ingredients are manufactured in China is just being silly.
China does not provide the finished drug compounds. Only some of the the ingredients that pharmaceutical manufacturers use to create the medications.
80% = "some".
Got it...
You were arguing that China supplies stuff that is “pressed into pills here” and had to back off that silly claim. The medications still need to be manufactured.
Same thing
And they do manufacture many meds. Have you seen reports of ibuprofen being recalled? Thats just one thing from the top of my head.
I think we’re done here.
My comments are with respect to Rx medications.
And no, ingredients and finished manufactured products are not the same thing.
I need to find the company list which manufactures our meds before they ever put the local label on the box. They are all Chinese subsidiaries .
