How about those South African flame throwers under the sides of their cars?

Thanks for the video.

My one complaint:

This is the second video of this nature that I saw where the interviewer went Hannity on the expert and cut him (in this case, you) off just as you were about to talk about what the average driver can do if suddenly surrounded.

Twice, you said to drive 5 MPH to demonstrate no intent to ram the crowd, and twice, the interviewer said "before you get to that, I just want to say 'blah blah blah,' and you never got to say what the rest of the advice is to us average drivers.

So, can you please finish that instruction here?

If the first thing is to try to have situational awareness and avoid hotspot areas, and the second thing is to drive 5 MPH to push a crowd away and make them WANT to stand in front of your car, what are the third, fourth, and fifth things to do after that when the crowd insists and banging on your windshield with their skateboards?

I thought you were about to describe some offensive tactics a driver can do with the car to keep the mob from getting in to pull someone out. I thought you were about to tell how to use the car to protect ones self and escape.

Can you please finish that discussion for us?

Thanks.

Hi PJ,

my thoughts......

If the worst happens...

1. doing the 5 mph thing is the FIRST thing. Your heart is already racing towards 150 beats per minute or beyond. But do the 5 mph anyway.

2. breathe, breathe, breathe. keep your focus, don't tunnel vision, watch for more serious threats.

3. understand that you are in mortal danger, point of no return stuff. react or die.

4. Don't even think about stopping or leaving your car. keep windows up. There is no negotiation.

4.5. find a free lane to travel.

5. Floor it and get the hell out of there. Miles and miles away. Even with the police on your ass. Get them out of the danger zone as well.

6. if police ARE involved, comply.

Two handguns with 30 or 33-round magazines makes a nice surprise for attackers, applied either sequentially or in tandem. That still leaves you with a blind spot on the other side, but assuming they don't manage to pull off a mobility kill, you should come out of it all right, particularly with a passenger/doorgunner on the off-side.

My usual tool for dealing with such matters, long ago in Africa, was a Sten submachinegun, handily waiting on the full-length package shelf of my VW Rabbit conveniently replacing the glove compartment as the catchall spot for handy storage for "stuff." Later, it was replaced with an Uzi, but by being ready for such problems, they rarely seemed to come my way. And now they're here; oh bother!

No matter, two handguns with high-caps lasts longer than a sub-gun, and can indeed be in two places at once, or one offered to a qualified passenger.

Care to go for a drive through Indianapolis, Matt? The BLM creep who shot and murdered the woman under the bridge might try his luck again. If we're lucky,,,,

Got a creek on my property..and a lake. I'm set....

Not quite. Now get about 3 bags of HTH swimming pool or pond Shock or cleaner/ chlorinator. It's inexpensive, the lot'll run you about $10 and it's a first step at treating your water. A one-pound beg will give you about 10,000 gallons of usable water.

Next step: A decent test kit for your drinking source.

Driver: Neutral steer, right, then left. Gunner, prepare to fire at muzzle flashes. Loader: Get some extra ammo ready for the co-ax, 6 thousand may not be enough- and get your greasegun handy. Driver, run over any that don't look dead.

Move 0ut!
