That's a question I dread, since consumer level dashcams are STILL an evolving tech sector and something of a minefield for shoppers. No matter the brand, they practically all are made in China, it comes down to the company's commitment to QA/QC - how serious are they about delivering a quality product that will last and customer service when things go sideways. They keep a running list of phony and counterfeit dashcams at that site. One thing I can say with certainty is I like the cams with internal capacitors instead and no batteries - they will stand hot climes much better, and GLASS multicoated lens, NOT plastic. Have had some success with Street Guardian USA - it's an Australian company but with a limited model selection. Their tech support has been directly reachable on the forum above.
