Is it me, or does it seem that more and more people are dying before they reach 80 years old, then say, 20 or 30 years ago?
Well, it seems like there are more octogenarians in the Senate than 20 or 30 years ago.
I notice that as well, but it may be because, at 65, I am approaching that age, too..................................
If you’re talking celebrities from the 70s, it kind of makes sense, it was a time of excess, it takes a toll in the end.
I dunno, I know several people in their 80's. My dad is 85. I always expect "stars" to die a bit younger. They live a fast-paced, high-stress lifestyle, and there may be too much sex, drugs and booze along the way. "The candle that burns twice as bright...etc". I saw that French actress/singer Juliette Greco died about a week ago at the age of 93.
Four of the members of the Grateful Dead are still alive, and still playing. Some people can live hard and somehow still survive.
