One stayed on the farm and the other went to college. Farmer paid for a Ivy Leave education and law school.
The lawyer son stayed in the big city and never visited or called his Dad.
One day the son who stayed on the farm called his brother and said "Dad died".
The lawyer son said he was too busy to attend the funeral, but that he would pay the expenses of the funeral and service.
A year went by and the lawyer son called up his brother:
"I know that I said I would pay for Dad's expenses, but what is this monthly bill I get for $1000?"
*Oh! I buried Dad in a rented tux.*
The children in the story weren’t bastards like so many in the population around them, unless the man at the celebration wasn’t their father.
