Thanks for the reply. Were the weapons in plain sight? In other words, would a reasonable person have said, Hey, that guy has a rifle there! If so, then I can see where MGM Resorts could be held negligent.
But if the guns where brought up in a duffle bag or something like that...well, that would be a different story.
I bring my hunting rifles into large, hotel chain, rooms. I get my room discounted for hunting season.

What if an MGM employee witnessed someone bring a laptop to their room and then they did something horrible, like edit an anti-Islamic video, would MGM be liable? I mean after all they saw the laptop?

Incorrect. There is video of him bringing suitcases up to his room as do thousands of other guests. His had guns and ammo.
