A2 milk is less sweet and more like cow’s milk than is Lactaid. I only tried it because my mother needed some help with a digestive problem. I prefer whole milk from a cow.
We have been drinking only A2 milk for a few years now. Before that we had our own dairy goats and goats milk is all A2. For many people the A1 protein (caused be a genetic mutation) is the problem.
