I’ll be curious if the younger generations hang onto the NBA, although 45% of the TV audience is black (from a few years ago). Not sure about the arena audience make-up going forward. It would be great for white Americans to step away from the NBA and let black Americans and the Chinese pay for the product. Hispanics have never really supported the NBA in large numbers.
People vote with their eye balls. Not counting the celebrities and the multi millionaires who can afford tickets and the companies who prop up the cash gate, middle Americans DO NOT wish to be called racists, bigots, uncaring, or Nazis by anyone regardless of their complexion. I have not watched the NBA since the 70s so that is not a concern but I did watch the NFL and attended a few games as I could afford. Last year when I saw owners lined up kneeling et al I said ENOUGH. My sundays are now event full. Baseball? Don’t even know whom is playing, nor care. This is from someone who was a Yankee fan since my dad took me to Joe Dimaggio’s last game. As far as businesses go, I avoid Target, Ford, Pepsi, Disney, Hollywood, as much as I can.

The Africanization of the NBA is antiAmerican to the core.
The thing is, the nba really doesn’t care if we watch or not. Silver knows the future of their league is in China. As long as Xi continues to applaud racist, anti Trump, anti America nba thugs, nothing will change.
Maybe they’re learning who their fans are- and it’s not the woke millennials that are planting BLM signs in their front yards. The NBA was always a niche league, and that niche just got a lot smaller.
If we can have women in the Navy Seals, why can’t we havw women in the NBA? In the case of special forces, it’s a matter of ife or death but basketball is just a game, right? Give the girls a chnce. And white men are underrepresented too, by the way.
We need affirmative action for professional sports.
They are going to write huge effing checks to BLM to get them to quietly go along with this.
In the end that will actually do more substantial damage to this country than some stupid slogan on a court or a jersey.

They only want affirmative action when it displaces white players. Never the other way around.
Insulting your customers is never a good idea as commercial sports is finding out. Many former fans have found better things to do with their time that waste endless hours watching a bunch of ingrates on a field or court. And they’re not coming back.

The cost of stupidity is high, as pro sports leagues are finding out.
I have no idea why the NBA owners hired Adam Silver in the first place; even more so why they haven’t fired him by now.
