President Trump followed through after tweeting that he will publish an unedited preview of his "60 Minutes" sitdown to show viewers that the interview was a vicious attempted takeout by correspondent Lesley Stahl when he posted a portion of the interview on Facebook Thursday.
I will soon be giving a first in television history full, unedited preview of the vicious attempted takeout interview of me by Lesley Stahl of @60Minutes, Trump wrote. Watch her constant interruptions & anger. Compare my full, flowing and magnificently brilliant answers to their Qs.
60 Minutes did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
A few hours later, Trump's Facebook page released the footage.

Saw an article that claimed Trump left the interview early
Such BS
Round and round repeated badgering isnt an interview
40 minutes was time enough. How much will it be edited down to? 10 minutes?
Journalists (and I use that term generically) are supposed to ask questions and transcribe the answers - period. THEY are supposed to debate the interviewee. They’re not supposed to be prosecutors. Today’s media seems to think they have to ambush and mischaracterize everything conservatives say rather than simply letting them speak their minds for more than 20 seconds. They are so full of their own agendas that they don’t even listen to what is being said to them anymore.
Wasnt there a situation where someone in the Bush administration also released an unedited camera take of some partisan interviewer?
Sorry about that.
Did she ask about COVID and ask Trump to FINALLY denounce racism?
I don’t know if it’s ever been pre-released before the program airs. Usually, you wait to see what the final hatchet job looks like before defending yourself. By doing it now, Trump is basically saying they know it will be a hatchet job so they want you to see what they butchered BEFORE the program airs.
Five more minutes so they could get in the ultimate gotcha question.
Trump was smart to leave before having to deal with whatever Lesley had stuck up her sleeve.
I like showing it before. Sometimes doing it after is too late. It’s a great “aha” moment for supporters, but it might not necessarily reach the masses.
yes, Yes and YES !
I’d certainly like to finally hear from him about covid and racism.

These idiots forget that he's had a lot of experience with TV production.
Ah, I think you are correct in that distinction
Compare the way the US press treats Republican presidents to how Dan Rather treated Saddam Hussein when he sat down for a face to face interview on the eve of the second war in Iraq.
Or Dan Rather and his good buddy, Fidel Castro. Look how happy Danny is with his fellow Stalinazi.
And we thought William Shatner was a ham.
Love 'em both, though!
At some point around the end of 1990s...the job of journalist came to a ‘Y’ in the road. Some tried to stay motivated and be still a journalist. The rest went to being ‘lecture-enthusiasts’ or pretender-lobbyists.
This is the key issue with MSNBC and CNN...they don’t have any journalists left at this point. After this election period...I don’t see any public interest existing and their market will collapse in a massive way.
I think the impact of Watergate is that from that point on, it made all of the people who wanted to be Journalists, liberals who wanted to “Change the World”.
