What kind of action is left for the police to use in a situation like this? Drive up...stay in the car, and ask via speaker for the guy to exit the house?
All of this goes back to no attention by the authorities to put mental-issue people in a permanent facility.
This sort of event is leading to FIDO policing. F*** It, Drive On.
This is part of why murders and violent crimes are up sharply in many of our major cities.
A couple loading groceries into the car let go of their car and put a dent in my Mag’s door.
After I got out and yelled “You dented my car!” the woman said “So call the cops” and I took her up on her suggestion.
When I called the cops to file the report for insurance, BEFORE they would even send an officer out, the dispatcher wanted their plate number, their race, asked whether I’d been threatened, did I feel like I was in danger and did I suspect they had weapons.
This is the new reality.
Cops want to know what they’re walking into and I can’t blame them for that.
