A man attempted to rob the greatest mixed martial arts fighter of all time this week. It did not end well for him.
On Saturday night, a robber attempted to break into two vehicles parked on Jon Jones property. When the former UFC Light Heavyweight champ saw what was happening, he grabbed his shotgun and took action. Security footage from his property showed the entire incident.

He grabbed the shotgun ... why, to give it to the perp in order to make it a fair fight?
Unlike some folks, he was smart enough to NOT shoot at a person IN RETREAT...
Lets see
NO motion activated floodlights
Failed to lock the doors on at least two vehicles
No property line fence (most places don’t do this, so just noting this)
Opened garage door!!! to exit the building...wow, not a good thing.
On the plus
Had a dog who clearly alerted on the trespasser
smart enough not to shoot the fleeing toad...
He’s actually lucky the perp was an idiot and not an evil sob looking for blood.
Tons of stupid in this video.
Anybody can chase off a robber with a shotgun, MMA not required. I had hoped to see Jones whup the guy with some Bruce Lee moves.
Opening the garage door is a head scratcher. Would have rather seen him rack a shell in chamber right behind the perp and asked him to get on ground. Nothing like a 12 ga pump to put the fear in someone.
Giving a perp notice you are coming and then chasing could get you killed.
You seem to pimp this blog a lot.
A whole lot.
I mean, a whole, whole lot.
Like, this blog, and nothing but this blog.
And you don’t post anything else.
So, are you a blog pimp?
Why do you excerpt your own blog?
Why do you chop off your own blog at two sentences when your whole blog is cut and paste from other sources, blog pimp?

A man attempted to rob the greatest mixed martial arts fighter of all time this week. It did not end well for him.
On Saturday night, a robber attempted to break into two vehicles parked on Jon Jones property. When the former UFC Light Heavyweight champ saw what was happening, he grabbed his shotgun and took action. Security footage from his property showed him chase the robber away.
Jones later posted the video to his Instagram page, along with a caption explaining what transpired.
Ended up tapping on this guys driver side window with the muzzle of my shotgun last night, he wrote.
Next time you try to rob someone, make sure youre fast enough to out run them. Hes lucky Im smart enough to not shoot a man while hes retreating. People I know times are getting hard but your life isnt worth a few material possessions. What are your thoughts on this video, what would you have done differently?
Jones home is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has a ton of weapons on the property, as well as a shepherd dog that has undergone serious training to become a personal protection dog. How does one become a personal protection dog? Well, special K9 trainers have worked with him in full-on bite suits, ensuring that the dog would only release after hearing Jones orders.
Needless to say, Jones home is very well protected even before you get to the part where he is the greatest fighter to ever live.
Jones home security notwithstanding, he currently finds himself in something of a precarious situation with the UFC. After he relinquished his UFC Light Heavyweight title, he expressed a desire to move up to heavyweight and challenge that divisions champ, Stipe Miocic.
Unfortunately, to date, Jones and the UFC have been unable to come to terms on proper financial compensation.
The last I spoke with [UFC] about my salary there was no negotiating, he tweeted out recently.
If that ever changes, id love to come back and compete again as a heavyweight. Until then, Ill be enjoying Ufc has a fan and doing my best to take care of my family and community.
Despite that, Jones has remained in the testing pool in the event a deal is agreed to. That way he doesnt have to sit out for any extended period of time.
In the meant time, news emerged this week via Dana White that Israel Adesanya was moving up from middleweight to light heavyweight to challenge Jan Blachowicz for the championship belt that Jones relinquished. If he wins, that could be another intriguing match-up for Jones.
One way or another, its clear that Jones will have no shortage of opponents whenever he and the UFC come to terms on a new deal.
Do you know the difference between “robbery” and “burglary”?
