This old Irish tune sung by Anna and Elizabeth touches the soul, especially for those with Irish ancestry. It’s a haunting song about leaving behind everything in Ireland to come to America. Fantastic dissonance that speaks to the sadness Irish immigrants felt while hoping for a better life here. It’s all the more sad to know that half of this country has lost that dream.

Whew—yes, love those dissonances. That is some intense, austere, poignant stuff.
They’re great, aren’t they? Simple, no fkuff. Just pure music. Some of their other tunes bounce around in your head for awhile after hearing.
That one is not over till the fat lady sings. :-)
