I swear, some of you FReepers would claim that a Senate full of Susan Collins’ would be some sort of win for “our team”.

No doubt, but they can’t win future elections with a rigged system, nor can they win without US. They may not like us, but they have to have us.

If Biden/Harris are sworn in, we’ve lost. We’ll do nothing as a country to fix it. Some will boast about doing their little part to no participate, but good luck with that. Taxes can be raised, our children sent off to war, freebies given to mostly DEM voters, unfettered abortion, secrets sold to China/et. al, all without our participation.
It’s all pretty depressing actually......

How many judges do you think President Trump would have gotten confirmed without a Republican Senate majority? You do know that Garland would have been on the Supreme Court without a Republican Senate majority? Yeah, sometimes the “Rs” are flaky or unreliable, but they are a damned sight better than the “Ds.”

It's that mentality that is part of the reason we are in the trouble we are currently in. Far too much willingness to go with the flow, then take a stand. But hey, we can always have a hearing and have a chance to grandstand in front of the cameras knowing that nothing will be done. But at least the masses will be appeased.

A FIST BUMP can be a symbol of giving respect or approval, as well as companionship between two people.
Why do you take it to the extreme? No one said anything about wanting to see punches thrown or trading insults etc.. A fist bump wasn’t necessary, a head nod would have been fine. Afterall, this clown wants our loyalty when voting for him, what’s wrong with expecting some in return?
I agree....Who gets upset when we constantly hear - if we watch C Span - “my friend across the aisle”?
It says a lot about a country and its people that’s lost its decency when social media is used to attack people! We don’t want or need to see it in the House or Senate floors! Who wouldn’t want to return to the days WITHOUT all the nastiness? It’s ramped up here every day.
