A teenager has been taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after a shooting Friday morning in the South Linden neighborhood. Columbus police reported the shooting about 11:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 18th Avenue. According to the CEO of LifeCare Alliance, a 75-year-old Meals on Wheels driver was involved in the shooting after two young males attempted to rob him.
Columbus Police said the driver has a concealed carry license. According to police, a 14-year-old suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the victim get out of his car, which the victim did. A second suspect, believed to be 15-year-old, allegedly stole the victim’s cellphone and wallet.
When the 14-year-old started the vehicle, the victim pulled his gun, police said. The 14-year-old pointed his gun at the victim, at which point, the victim shot at the teens three times, hitting the 14-year-old at least once, police said. The 15-year-old suspect fled on foot, police said.

The main problem with young thugs is that they grow into older thugs. It's best to cull the weeds at an early stage.

I’m 70 and the old eyes and reaction time is just not what it used to be. I try to put a few rounds downrange every week just to keep from....missing.

I think that the 15-year-old should be arrested, tried as an adult for accessory to the death of the 14-year-old while in the process of committing a felony.

A 14 year old can kill you just as dead as anyone else. Something you need to work thru in your head before hand...hesitation can get you killed. Can you shoot a 14 year old if justified?
